My dad is doing very well at Forwood Manor. Everything has been very good and we haven't had any complaints whatsoever. They treat him very well, and they're very attentive. He has been gaining weight while he's there.
The therapists who work with her have been very caring people and pleasant to work with. She has a good relationship with them, so that part is very good. She is sharing a room that's kind of crumby. At Courtland Manor Nursing & Convalescent Home, we are providing quality care in a family atmosphere. We are a family-owned and family-operated facility that gives your loved ones the attention and care they deserve.
Pitman Manor
Due to my moms illness, she has stayed at other facilities, but I am thankful for Manor Care. Rooms and patients bathrooms were cleaned. Very caring doctors and socialworker staff communicated on everything that involved my mom. I would recommend a love one staying here. The only thing that needed improvement is the food served to residents. My mom wouldn’t eat the meals because food was not appealing, and she only ate the tuna everyday.

She was very sweet, and Forwood Manor seemed to treat her well. I really enjoyed the hospitality service they had there.

I cannot say enough positive things about Manor Care! I would choose to go there in a heartbeat if I needed that kind of care. The general entranceway is a little larger and more inviting.
However, my review is propped up by the caring staff and individuals who make the place much better than it would be otherwise. Every single employee I met there was at least cheerful and made an attempt to be helpful. My wife was in Manorcare at one time because she had broken her leg; she was there for therapy. The hospital recommended this to us. She was mostly there for therapy, but their care was passable. Their rooms were all right and roomy enough.

The people all seemed very happy, and the staff was very friendly. My mother-in-law did not like Manorcare Health Services - Pike Creek at all because she is very active and this facility is more for people who really need a lot of attention. The people there were not very helpful. I did not like them at all because they would not tell me information I needed to know. The staff need to be more polite and customer oriented. I met two staff members and they were very nice and open.

We had a wonderful visit at Forwood Manor and it was very nice. They lady we spoke to at the sales department was very nice. We went in, toured the facility, had lunch and the food was good. The atmosphere was also set up like a restaurant and that was nice.
Many of our residents tell us that life at Forwood Manor is very nice. I visited someone at Manorcare at one time, and I thought her room was very small. The fact that she was with somebody who never put the lights out was quite distracting for somebody who is trying to recover from an illness. My friend was there for like three months with Pancreatitis, and I would say she felt good about it.
Of all the facilities I looked at, it was by far the best. It’s like a beautiful apartment, you really didn’t hospital feeling or facility feeling, it’s like a country club. The dining facility was fantastic with a 4 or 5 star chef. They had a broad tray that you choose and eat a little bit. They had food for families who will be visiting. One of the things I like was that they have a garden, and they do gardening with the results.

After a serious accident, Kathleen was admitted to the hospital. She was was severely injured with several broken bones that required surgery. Post-surgery, Kathleen was unable to walk or transfer and was in need of rehabilitation and nursing care before returning home. This is going to be a tough review to write. I have very strongly mixed feelings about this place. On one hand, I see a corporate business model that doesn''t really care as much as I think it should about its individual patients.
